Find Humboldt Projected Release Dates

A Humboldt County projected release date depends on the kind of custody and the sentence behind it. A pretrial detainee usually has no sentence-expiration date because release turns on bail and court action. A sentenced local inmate needs the jail's calculation. A Nevada state prisoner may have projected and parole-eligibility fields in the corrections offender search. Those dates answer different questions, and each may change. To learn when they will be released, identify the custody episode first, read the agency's exact label, and confirm the actual exit after it occurs.

Humboldt Projected Versus Actual Release

A projected date is a calculation tied to a sentenced custody episode. It can reflect the maximum term, eligible credits, sentence aggregation, or an agency's current assumptions. An actual release date records the event after custody ends or the person transfers. Never turn a projected, eligibility, or effective date into a completed release.

A pretrial Humboldt County detainee normally has no fixed sentence-expiration date. The open question is when a court will authorize release, resolve bail, dismiss the matter, or impose a sentence. A court order explains the legal authority. The Humboldt County Detention Center's exit record proves when processing ended.

Scheduled is not actual: confirm physical release with the custodian's dated release or transfer entry after the event.

Find Humboldt Projected Release Dates

Classify the case before searching. A local sentence stays with the Detention Division and sentencing court unless the person was committed to state prison. An NDOC Offender ID is the strongest route for a state case. Name searches require comparison of aliases, age, sentence county, and other identifiers.

  1. Identify whether the person is pretrial, serving a Humboldt County jail sentence, or serving an NDOC sentence.
  2. For pretrial custody, check the court docket and bail or release order; do not expect an expiration date.
  3. For a local sentence, ask the Detention Division and sentencing court for the official sentence and credit calculation.
  4. For state custody, search the NDOC offender portal by Offender ID when possible.
  5. Read every booking and sentence row, identify the controlling active or aggregated sentence, and record PEXD and PED with the check date.
  6. If dates conflict, request an official calculation from NDOC Offender Management Division.

For broader custody verification, use the Humboldt County released inmate search. That route distinguishes the jail, NDOC, supervision, and federal systems instead of assuming one “not found” result answers every custody question.

Nevada Credits Change Humboldt Dates

Nevada has no blanket rule requiring every state prisoner to serve about 85 percent. NRS 193.130 generally limits the court-imposed minimum for category B through E felonies to no more than 40 percent of the maximum, subject to category A and offense-specific law. That sentence structure does not promise release at 40 percent.

For offenses committed on or after July 17, 1997 and before July 1, 2027, NRS 209.4465 generally provides 20 days of credit per month when conduct and assigned-duty conditions are met. The Director may allow added monthly credit for work or study, and other provisions address education and programs. Credits can be forfeited or restored.

Application to the minimum is restricted. Subsection 8 excludes listed categories, while subsection 9 caps a qualifying minimum reduction at 58 percent for covered offense dates and aggregations. A new NRS 209.4467 regime is scheduled for July 1, 2027. The law and agency calculation must be rechecked after that transition.

The NDOC 800-series regulations provide the official credit-administration context shown below.

The regulations help explain awards and losses, but the person-specific NDOC sentence record remains essential.

Why Humboldt Release Dates Move

NDOC's Family Services material says PEXD can move forward or backward due to behavior and other factors. New judgments, sentence aggregation, and outside holds can also alter the path. Preserve the label and date checked so a later change is clear.

A detainer is another authority's request or legal basis affecting custody. It may prevent community release even after one case reaches its date. Concurrent sentences run together; consecutive sentences run one after another. Those distinctions make a generic calculator unsafe.

Confirm Humboldt Release Dates

For state custody, check the parole hearing schedule and monthly action report when PED is near. Distinguish eligibility, grant, effective date, plan approval, and physical exit. A Board grant means parole was approved under stated conditions. It is not the prison-door timestamp.

After the expected date, check NDOC's release event and current institution. `PAROLE` supports ongoing community supervision. `INACTIVE-DSCHREL` supports an inactive discharged record when no other active sentence row conflicts. Ask NDOC Offender Management Division at omdrecords@doc.nv.gov for an official record when precision is required.

Nevada S.A.V.E. can add a release notification. Follow the current process on the VINELink inmate check page, since Nevada retired VINE. Treat the alert as a lead and confirm the event with NDOC or the Humboldt jail.

Humboldt NDOC Date Fields

NDOC labels projected expiration as Sent. PEXD. Parole eligibility is Sent. PED. PED is the soonest release only if the Board grants parole and Nevada State Police Parole and Probation approves the plan. Neither label means “scheduled release.”

NDOC fieldMeaning or use
Sent. PEXDProjected expiration, subject to movement as the calculation changes
Sent. PEDParole eligibility, conditional on a grant and approved plan
Sent. Min / MaxThe sentence bounds shown for that row
Sent. StatusWhether the displayed sentence row is active, paroled, or discharged
Sent. Start DateThe recorded start used with the sentence data
Sent. CountyThe committing court, not necessarily the housing location

Other columns include Sent. MPR, Sent. RRD, and Sent. Type. Do not expand an abbreviation beyond the agency's sourced definition. Record it exactly and ask NDOC when the label controls a legal or release decision.

Humboldt Jail Release Credits

A local Humboldt County sentence follows a different credit statute. NRS 211.320 permits up to five days per month for compliant conduct. It also allows graduated work credits based on term length, prorates partial months, and permits forfeiture after due process.

The statute grants authority and maximum credits. It does not prove that Humboldt County awarded each available day to a named person. Obtain the Detention Division's actual calculation and reconcile it with the sentencing judgment. If a court corrects the judgment or another hold exists, the computed date may change.

Note: Pretrial detention has no good-time-based sentence expiration until a sentence exists.

Humboldt Parole Date Trail

Parole eligibility begins with the judgment’s minimum or aggregate minimum for many modern Nevada offenses, subject to offense-specific limits and credit rules. Eligibility opens the Board’s decision point. It does not compel a grant. The Board generally schedules eligible-inmate hearings before the minimum PED, and its monthly action reports can state an action date plus an effective or denied-to date.

Keep each stage separate. PED is eligibility. “Grant Parole” is a Board decision. The effective date is the authorized date stated in that action. NPP plan approval is another condition. NDOC’s release event then records the custody movement. A delay at any stage can make a predicted community arrival wrong even when the earlier record was accurate when checked.

When the Board denies parole, PED does not become an exit date. When it grants parole, an unresolved plan or detainer may still delay community release. Contact the Winnemucca NPP office only after identifying the person and relevant NDOC or court record; the public NPP site has no general name-by-name supervision locator.

Request Humboldt Date Calculations

Ask for the calculation when an official date is needed. For an NDOC sentence, write Offender Management Division at P.O. Box 7011, Carson City, NV 89702, or use omdrecords@doc.nv.gov. Identify the Offender ID, controlling sentence, and the fields in conflict. Request the current projected expiration, parole eligibility, credits, and dated release event rather than a general portal printout.

For a Humboldt County jail sentence, call 775-623-6423 and pair the Detention Division calculation with the sentencing court’s judgment. Union Township Justice Court covers misdemeanor sentences and early felony proceedings. A felony bound over continues in Sixth Judicial District Court. An amended judgment may change the base term even before credits are applied.

Keep a dated copy of each source. If the projected field later moves, the older check still documents what the agency displayed at that time. It does not override the newer calculation. The latest official record and the final release or transfer entry control the current answer.

Ask the custodian to identify whether the answer is projected expiration, parole eligibility, mandatory parole, a Board effective date, or a completed release. Those terms are not interchangeable. If the record includes several sentence rows, request the controlling aggregate and how concurrent or consecutive terms were applied. That focused question is more reliable than subtracting credits from one visible maximum.

Reconcile Humboldt Sentence Rows

An NDOC result can contain several booking rows. Each row may show its own offense, status, minimum, maximum, PED, PEXD, start date, and sentence type. An older row marked Discharged does not end a newer Active sentence. Start with the current Institution field, then identify every active count and ask which aggregated sentence controls the displayed date.

Concurrent terms generally run together, while consecutive terms run one after another. A corrected judgment can change that relationship. Credits may also apply differently to the maximum and to parole eligibility, particularly where an offense falls within a statutory exclusion. These interactions are why adding a standard monthly credit to one sentence row cannot produce a safe Humboldt release estimate.

Record the Offender ID, the exact labels, and the date of the check. The NDOC result remains at a POST-based form address, so a browser link does not preserve the person-specific state. A dated note or requested official record gives later reviewers enough context to understand which rows supported the calculation.

Humboldt Courts and Detainers

A court controls the judgment, not the final movement record. Union Township Justice Court handles local misdemeanor sentences and early felony events. Sixth Judicial District Court handles a felony after bind-over. Request the judgment, amended judgment, sentencing minutes, and any order affecting custody when the term shown by the jail or NDOC does not match the court file.

A detainer is a request or legal basis from another authority that can affect release. One case may reach expiration while a federal, immigration, another-county, or separate state hold keeps the person in custody. The releasing agency's record should name the receiving authority when that information is releasable. Check that authority before describing the event as community release.

Parole adds another conditional stage. NRS 213.120 generally connects eligibility for many modern offenses to service of the imposed minimum or aggregate minimum, subject to other laws. Even after the Board grants parole, plan approval and an effective date remain distinct. NDOC's completed release event is still needed to confirm that the person physically left prison custody.
